Data Cabling Installations help fit out Care Home Company offices during expansion

Data Cabling Installations were recently contracted to install new cat5e cabling into offices in a business centre near Slough for the expansion of one of the UK’s leading care home companies. Working in conjunction with the company’s telecoms and IT provider, we removed and disposed of approximately 8,000 metres of old cat5 data cable and a large quantity of redundant power cables from under the floating floor and replaced it with 160 new lsoh cat5e data cables to the floor-boxes.

Data Cabling Installations also installed cat5e link cables between the new main data cabinet and the existing data cabinet in an office they were retaining on the same floor. 

The new office area had existing floor boxes housing data and power and we were tasked with relocating those floor boxes to fit around the new desk layout and accommodate our new data cables that were to be installed. This involved us cutting the floor tiles to size for the boxes to fit. Obviously the empty spaces where floor tiles had been moved from needed new tiles to replace them.

Working on a tight schedule and around the carpet fitters and office fit out, the data cabling work was completed within 6 days along with some additional electrical work carried out by our NIC EIC approved Electricians.
